Does anyone know the different colleges in Tennessee, or if there is one that can help you get a degree in film, or anything in that area? I'm talking about universities, not community colleges.

UT and UTC are the only ones I know of and I don't know what they have as far as film goes.

Vandy is pretty expensive. Is money a big concern for you?

I'm from Tennessee and have lived here my whole life, maybe I can help you a little bit with the colleges.

im not sure i even will move there, but just in case, are there any good colleges in the middle of the state? besides the obvious middle tennessee?

Vandy has apparently really stepped up its financial aid this past year, so it's worth applying if you're a solid student. If you're accepted there's a good chance that they can make it affordable for you, too.

What about the University of Tennessee at Knoxville? I think that's the flagship.

UTK is really a straight party school. Flagship? For what? The biggest draw for that place is either the football or the parties. This is why I chose MTSU, it's much more academically capable and the party scene still is good, plus it is rather affordable but don't let the fact that it's a state school turn you off to it.

Why don't you want to consider community colleges? Any specific reason?
