---- I'm kind of creeped out by this GUY.... (http://www.golivewire.com/forums/peer-ynnoibi-support-a.html)

I'm a 19 year male, and I like to go to the gym.

Today, at the gym this guy asked if he could work in with me on my lifting sets. I said, "sure." So we start talking and then he asks if I wanted to work out with him because hes trying to find a good lifting partner who lifts around the same weight with him and a person who will work hard.

I agree to that, and then he asks for my phone number so he can call me every time he's at the gym, and maybe we can meet up. I give him my phone number, and then he has texted me asking  about my schedule and when I can go train next.

I told him Saturday would be good, and then he's like "We will go train for 3 hours and then we will go eat together :-), I know the perfect place to grub out...see you Saturday buddy"

I'm kind of creeped out, and he comes off kind of gay, but I can't tell cause most guys at the gym wear skin tight clothing to show off muscles.

He's a nice guy no doubt, just kind of creeped out...or should I not be worried at all?

hmm. maybe he's just trying to skip straight through the awkward?

He's hitting on you. Where's your gaydar?

-- Posted by amber10lynne at 4:41 pm on July 6, 2009

Dont be worried. if he asks you out, just let him know your straight. but i really wouldnt be worried at all.

Don't be worried, he might just be looking for a friend? or just an overly-nice person? Even so, if he is gay it's nothing to worry about. If he makes a move just explain your straight.

Hmm.

Does seem a bit weird.

If he comes off kind of gay, he probably is...

See what happens, if he trys and makes a move, tell him your straight and not intrested.

I would give it a try and keep an open mind

I honestly wouldn't be. He just sounds like a nice guy. Go out to eat with him, if he makes a move, or what you think is a move, kindly ask him if he's gay and tell him that you aren't. No prob! No reason you two still can't be weight-lifting-buddies or whatever, right?

tell him u r getting married in a year and see his reaction

Yeah that's what I thought, but then I also thought about how weird it was to ask for my phone number so fast, without hardly any talking..

don't be worried, just don't leave your food unattended

He might just be friendly.

If you're uncomfortable about it, just work out with him and tell him you have plans so can't go for dinner.

Or go for dinner, and tell him your straight if he makes a move on you.

no, doesn't sound like he's hitting on you tbh =/

I agree.

His actions don't necessarily speak gay. It just sounds like he is in need of somebody to hang out with, a friend.. But then of course, there is still a possibility of his homosexuality.

Oh come on  guys, that smiley face in his message is totally shady

Well think about how paranoid people are these days. He's probably been looking for someone to work out with for a while, but gotten turned down by a lot of guys who thought he was a creep. Who knows if it really happened or not, just saying. It was probably a safety net, just to make sure you weren't going to bail on him later.
