Don't be afraid to use Plan B when you need to, but remember that it should never replace routine methods of contraception as it simply isn't as effective -- Posted by JennyColada at 5:09 am on July 11, 2009 Taking Plan B while on BC doesn't have many  more side effects than taking Plan B normally. The girl should think "would I want to get pregnant because of this guy?" and if she realizes that she woulden't then the relationship should not go past first base! Plus, no, just thinking will not prevent pregnancy. DOING something with those thoughts will. You seem to be confusing reality and fantasy. Reality = DOING something. Fantasy = THINKING about doing something. She's on birth control, she's doing something, thus she's asking if she can take Plan B with the birth control. There are lots of reasons why someone may want to take Plan B alongside their regular BC, and I've done it with a long-term monogamous partner, so sometimes choosing a "bad seed" isn't always the issue.
