I'm confused... I have Asperger's and I've been recommended to go on a gluten-free diet... I was told that it would make me feel better. I'm not sure, although I have a few 'toilet troubles', I don't really see how going on a diet could make me feel 'better'... any help? I'm going to do it but I'm just curious I suppose...

Ex GF forced me to do it.

Anything without wheat, barley, rye, oats or spelt.
Edit: And no, there was a book by a guy called Luke Jackson who wrote it when he was 13 and he talked about him having asperger's and his brothers with autism... he said that they went on the diet and it made them feel a lot better as asperger's people.

I know at the last count 4 people with Aspergers and two of them are gay.

But that's getting random/off-topic.

My mom has Celiac and she gets tons of Gluten-free products at the grocery store. They make everything now and most of it actually tastes pretty good. If you get rice bread make sure to toast it or else it will taste kinda funny. Thai food usually doesn't contain gluten either so that's a good choice.

I've never heard that a gluten-free diet somehow helps with Asperger's. Do you have any links regarding it? What "symptoms" is it supposed to help with?
