It's strange, because I still use that line sometimes... but it sounds strange. Being 19 and saying, "when I get older, I want to do ____" sounds rather awkward... But it's true, technically I'm always getting older, right? Anyone else happen to think that it's rather strange? I always think of 'when I grow up' or 'when I get older' to refer to a little child talking about adulthood. Not an adult talking about... later adulthood.

Yeah. I do that too. Sometimes I start to say "When I grow up, I..." but then I stop myself, because I remember that I'm 18. Instead, I try to say, "Well, in the future I want to..."

I know what you mean...yeah. I have kind of stopped that way of thinking though, saying "when I get older"...because now's the time. What we do today will affect tomorrow.

Oh, wouldn't it be nice if we were older. Then we wouldn't have to wait so long...
