I'm a teenager and have been in a Partial Hospital Program, been on Lexapro, and going to therapy. I still feel depressed though. I spend my whole day on the computer doing nothing. I'm just rotting away. I'm starting to question even living anymore. I'm just not happy, I don't know what to do. Nothing makes me happy either.

I feel like that sometimes darling. And I have to tell you that the best way to get out of that rut, that funk, is to go out. Go to a park, go to the nearest lake. Anywheres where there are people, but also a place to go, just to yourself. There's a park here, that I like to go to. It takes almost an hour to get there by bus, but it is so worth it. I take my iPod with me, and I go and walk through that park until I cant feel my legs for have been walking for so long. I comtemplate anything and everything that crosses my mind, let it run its course and dont dwell on anything that wants to stay. Just think it out, and dont let it come back. So you're getting exercise! And thinking things through. Its an awesome form of meditation. It feels so amazing too. Having such fresh air, and such beautiful sights surround you for that amount of time. It makes my heart so happy, and I feel so refreshed, but the same time exhausted, mentally and emotionally, when I'm on my way home. Try it. Do anything to get out of the house, and walk as if you've no time limit. Best feeling in the world :) Oh and another thing... dont let anyone know where you're going and dont bring a cellphone with you. or if you do, put it on silent. because its a bad idea to have the stresses of life following and continuing into this time of letting loose. By the way, if you need anyone to talk to, to let other things out. Just to get them off your chest and out there. Feel free to PM me. :) Good luck love. And do me a favour?? Just smile :) Right now. As you're reading this. Right now. Just... smile :D xxxx

Everyone has a reason for living. No matter how much you think you have no reason for being here, you do. And being depressed is part of life. We all go through it. Some people stay depressed longer than others, but you have to learn to cope with it. Of course staying home all day on the computer isn't going to help you any. You have to get out and do stuff. Exercise your brain, so it isn't constantly focused on keeping you down and feeling sorry for yourself. Go for long walks, look at your surroundings, and at all the beauty around you. Take a hot soothing bubble bath. There's tons of things out there to do that will cheer you up. You just have to get out there and explore them instead of sitting at a computer all sorry stirring in your misery. Of course you're going to be depressed if you continue that way. I would be too. Your mind isn't studying anything but the bad things going on in your life. Just remember, suicide is a permanant solution to a temporary problem. Life gets better. It IS worth living. But you have to try your hardest to break free from your depression. Giving up ISN'T an option. Feel free to message me anytime, I'm here for you. Get to feeling better!
