my girlfriend always wears a thin pad or panty liner or whatever you call them i dont really know but is it really necessary? shes all about being safe and all that but i think it's a waste of money and it's not very environmentally friendly. do you wear them besides on your period?

On very rare occasions. But never when I don't have my period

I think it's up to her to decide whether it's necessary or not. It's her money, and her body. I suggest you get over it.

it's not something i'm all up on or anything but why could it be necessary? it's her money but it's my environment too. but anyways.

Why the hell do you care? It's necessary if you have discharge or if you're scared a tampon could leak. I wear them sometimes.

There's lots of fluids that can come out of a vagina, and most girls don't like having wet underwear. She obviously knows her body, knows she needs the protection, and doesn't want to tell you about her vaginal discharge issues. Not ALL girls have this problem, so she probably does and knows how to take care of it. It's not like every girl has discharge every day, so we don't all need them.
