Mine hurt quite a lot actually. I didn't cry, but I wanted to. But I still think it's more than worth it, I love mine. Just a heads up, make sure the first stud has a larger jewel. It wont look as nice as the teeny ones you can get later, but the smaller they get, the more likely it is that the piercing will close OVER the jewelery, which is as bad as it sounds and looks even worse. Also, soak it longer than they tell you to. So if they say do a warm sea salt soak once a day for a month, do it for two. My mom didn't do it for a longer period of time, and had lots of problems with it. I did it for like, three months, and never ever had an issue.
