Why is it people think that thier experiences are only unique unto themselves?

I mean, I get that each experience is unique in a way, but eventually you find another person who went through the exact same thing.

But they just can't accept that fact and feel that only they have suffered through this pain.

bugs me.

No two people can EVER experience something the same way. Everyone's interpretation of experiences and sensations are slightly different. Nobody thinks or feels the same as somebody else.

Enough philosophical bull. I think everyone realizes someone has been through similar situations before (there's what, 3 billion people in the world? it happens).

Maybe no one said they related with them?

obviously that cant experience the same things the same way
but theres other people that might have experienced the same thing
not the exact same thing
but something close
and from that
might know what your feeling.

Well obviously. It's a mathematical certainty that you will have gone through something that somebody else has before you. But the way you experience it. The way you interpret it. What you take from it. Is completely unique to the person.

Disagree.

Granted, not EVERYTHING is going to be the same but I'm sure there's some sort of similarity between experiences. Not everything has to be unique.

You are just adding further support to my point.
"some sort" Yes. There will be some degree of similarity. But not EXACTLY the same. Everybodys perceptions are slightly differed.
