when youre writing the name of a high school are you supposed to translate it? i guess its kind of like naming an establishment like McDonalds right so you would just say that instead of trying to make it spanish? like would la escuela de Nachos make sense? also how would you put "high school"? would you leave it as high school or translate in to spanish? thanks in advance

the only proper nouns that you translate are things that already have an accepted translation in the language. there is no way that your high school is important enough to have been translated already, so you just state its english name. I go to Livewire High School. Voy a Livewire High School.

So you still have to translate it all? The word "high school"? Not really.

Bueno, para empezar el error reside en la construcción gramatical: "voy a", pues la forma correcta es "Voy a la". Ahora bien, es mentira lo que aquí se ha dicho, pues la RAE solo acepta la NO TRADUCCIÓN DE LOS GENTILICIOS y NOMBRES PROPIOS, pero las palabras comunes deberán ser traducidas en todos los casos. De manera pues que la traducción correcta sería: Voy a la Secundaria Livewire.
