To work with java I usually use the 1.4.2 sdk.

As my editor I use a program called Jcreator.

So I want the J2SE 1.4.2 SDK instead of the 1.4.2 JRE?

Download the SDK without netbean.
Then download a software called Jcreator and you are pretty much done.

Holy crap, 137 MB with dial up? I'll be here for seven years. I guess I'll download it at school, I just need the Java update, I already have the software to write it. Thanks!
