Clam is cool too.  I does no automatic or on access scanning which makes slow computers run a little better.  You just have to remember to manually scan once in a while.  Clam is AMAZING with updates to their virus database!

But who has the time to scan everything manually.. I do it every few months, but u really need a real time scanner. Thats my opinon anyhow.

Zone alarm security suit is  a great program. It acts as a fire, anti virus, anti spy, and IM security guard. The fire wall helps keep out some of the virus plus protect you from hackers. This i the only thing you really need and it all comes in one program!

You can download it here.

Avast, AVG, Spybot SD (spybot remover), AdAware

If you use clamwin with winpooch, which provides realtime scanning for clam, you'll be set.

The best anti-virus is your brain. In other words, don't do something stupid.
