Does vicodin ever expire? I have found some in our medicine cabinet but it was prescribed in 2003. Could I still take it and feel the effects? edit: Which drug interactions should I watch out for? (Edited by DayXTripper at 11:44 am on Dec. 30, 2005)

The pills can decompose, but that usually never stops anyone.

There should be an expiration date on the bottle.... that being said, I've taken 3 year old vicoden before and it was the same as if they were new

I just found the expiration date, 08/10/04 edit: oddly enough this is exactly 1 year from the date the prescription was filled. Is this just a something they put because after a year you won't need it anymore or is it coincidence? (Edited by DayXTripper at 11:42 am on Dec. 30, 2005)
