The Project: DormWire Code Name: Silky Llama Web Address: http://www.dormwire.com This website is for college students only. It has everything that LiveWire does PLUS extras! It is a project I have just recently completed to allow college students to exchange textbooks, movies, professor reviews, messages, and photos. Directions: 1. Go to the website and sign in using your LiveWire account. 2. If it does not currently have your school listed you will need to click "Add School" and give me time to approve your school. I want to hear feedback from you! A word of caution: If you don't have a valid college email address don't convert your LiveWire Account at DormWire because you will not be able to receive the verification email. If you cannot receive the verification email you will find yourself unable to post on LiveWire. If this happens to you you can use the following link (found in my account) to close your DormWire account: http://www.golivewire.com/forums/myaccount.cgi?subaction=undormwire Thanks, and enjoy DormWire! I've been working very, very hard on it and I am incredibly excited about this project!

David... I LOVE IT!! I'd give you a hug- but the complications of the internet interfer with that.

Too cool! Can't wait 'til it becomes a bigger community!

I don't suppose you could also open it up to those who have left tertiary education, like me?
-- Posted by WigAOK9 at 10:08 pm on Mar. 12, 2006
You're just too old Thomas. :p
-- Posted by Macropiper at 12:09 pm on Mar. 13, 2006
Bullshit I am slightly older than age as David, only a year or so older than you, and younger than JennyColada. I just happened to take a different path to you lot, therefore I have not been to university yet, and plan not to go for quite a few years (will need money). I keep getting "Error: Transitioning Account," after which it says "An account already exists for xxx@xxx.edu. There is a limit of one account per email address." I wasn't able to sign up for DormWire earlier because my school wasn't listed. Now it is, so I tried again and now it does this. I can't go anywhere except forums and images without the site requesting my school.

Great Idea but there are not many UK Universities on here, so I cannot join.
-- Posted by Newfie at 3:06 pm on Jan. 21, 2007
Its the same as Livewire College forums.

Would this be for the UK Equivalent of University Students?

David - is it possible to change / remove your school once your account is linked to it?
-- Posted by SwiftPainfulSparrow at 3:41 am on Aug. 1, 2007
David, is there any way to get off of Dormwire once we're on it?
-- Posted by DefaultTo0 at 1:59 am on Aug. 2, 2007
And how do we change our college on DormWire?
-- Posted by TheOtherHorseman at 6:28 am on Aug. 2, 2007
I'm the only person at my school on Dormwire, and I knew that this would be so. I think I joined it just to make Davjs feel better about participation in his new program.

I'm the only one for mine as well, and I'm not attending that institution that year, so being on it is silly in more ways than one. But there's no way off that I can see

cool. good work.

My college isn't posted on the site.
-- Posted by meaghannf at 12:31 pm on April 26, 2008
Wow, I got really freaked out when I saw your title, as I thought for a minute it was the same name as my website. Whoops, four years of college and I still can't read. Anyway, the site looks great, and I hope to see more people from my school on the site soon. Maybe we can find a way to connect our sites, mine is DormWISE (http://www.dormwise.com) and it's also a resource for college students. Drop me a PM if you want to talk about making college student sites :)
