Pages: 1 2  Next -- Posted by Geminis at 2:24 pm on Feb. 10, 2006 Yesterday at my highschool in front of the entire student body,I was announced Valedictorian of my senoir class.  Upon recieving my award, a fellow senior of mine yelled out the word "homo". A group of  boys laughed as the others(students) watched in disgust.     I  was so pissed, I could have litrally killed one of those pricks for ruining my moment. My friends told me to nod it off and dont worry about it, but it hurt so much.Tears ended up strolling down my eyes because of it. Why cant some people just accept who you are? Some people are so closed-minded about other people and how other people are supposed to be, that they forget the reality of the situation; that we are all human and no human is better than anyone else. White, black, gay, straight, protestant, lutheran, Catholic, Jewish, Muslim...we are all humans and we should learn to tolerate other people. We should learn to at least Coexist Peacefully. If someone can't accept someone else, then they should at least try to respect them and stuff. What that guy to you was rude, cruel, and ignorant. That guy was being a big bigot. You should try to ignore people and their ignorance regarding things like tolerance. I know it hurts anyway, but try to ignore them. I have nothing against gay couples, but that lady man she was a snob. -- Posted by canon at 2:27 am on Feb. 11, 2006 This is a perfect example of why getting out of high school is good.  It is filled with idiots that are so immature that they only way that they can get attention is at the expense of someone else.  Whatever you do don't allow them to pull you down to their level.  Hold your head up high and continue to show them just how stupid they are.  You can do this by excelling in life.   I am amazed that no one had the balls or the human intelligence to call them down on this public spectacle.  They should have been punished by the school. I am a strong believer that ones sexuality is a private thing especially in the teens. It's a fact that is! I have that with me, when I came out that I was Bi, people did the exact same thing, But I'm the kind of person who doesn't let people get me down. Just remember, that when people are looking at you, you are center of their worlds!!! You must be important, because they can't leave you alone all of a sudden!!! I think it's funny anyway, I just laugh at them and say 'Well, at least I'll get more action then you will' and the world keeps spinning. Don;t let jerks like that get to you, be proud of what you are, whether it be gay, bi, les, multicoloured, 4 eyes or a fishing rod stuck up your butt, you are who you are, and don't let anyone take that away from you!
