Q: How do I perform oral sex on a girl?

A: This is for anyone who is thinking about going down on a girl for the first time, or has done so in the past and would like to improve their technique. First of all, you have to know what you're doing down there. I'm talking navigation. There is NO way you are going to satisfy a girl without knowing the basics about her anatomy. You, as a guy, have this whole big giant penis, which is pretty rudimentary - basic - not hard to figure out. Girls have flaps and holes and hair and it is completely understandable if you look at it and get a little confused!

Each girl looks very different in her pubic region. It's doubtful you'll ever see two that are quite the same. Some girls are very hairy and some have hardly any hair at all. Some girls shave, some don't. (Please don't ever ask a girl to shave. If she's willing to do it on her own, fine.) The inner lips, the labia minora, can look very different on different girls. On some they are very small, and on some they are of medium size, and on some they are large and protrude past the outer lips (labia). Basically, you are best to learn the relation of where the clitoris is in relation to the vaginal opening and the inner lips, this will be your best navigational tool.

Ok, so now that you know where you're going, it's important to learn what to do to get there. First of all, don't just dive straight into it. If she is like me, and in my "research" (i.e. College) most girls are, she will desire a considerable amount of foreplay. Not only is this necessary to turn her on, it is to your advantage. You don't want to be down there so long your tongue starts cramping up or something. Seriously spend about 10-15 minutes kissing her, her neck, her breasts, her shoulders, etc. Be tender, don't hump her leg or anything, and don't insist that she pay any attention to you and your throbbing member. Remember, you are doing this for her, right? Give her this undivided attention. She will make it up to you!

If you really want to drive her crazy with lust, during this foreplay, don't touch her clitoris or vagina. Think about when you're horny, how much you want your penis touched, how much you yearn for it to be touched when it's hard, and how good it feels when you finally touch it. This basic premise also applies to a woman. During foreplay, don't touch it. It's as simple as that. One thing my fiancé does that drives me insane while we're in foreplay is to take two fingers, and run them from back to front, each finger in one of the creases between my inner thigh and outer lips, not quite near my vagina, but in a sensitive area. It makes me quiver with yearning, seriously. Give it a go.

OK, so now, she's wet, writhing, horny, and begging for you to touch it. Slowly, work your way down. When you get there, again, don't go for the trophy right away. Lay some soft kisses on that same crease between thigh and outer lips I mentioned above. Nuzzle your nose into her pubic hair, and breathe through your mouth onto her genitals (this feels divine). If she is grinding her hips a little, you know you are definitely on the right track. Now, finally, lay your tongue onto her clitoris. Start with little licks with the tip of your tongue. Find a rhythm, but don't stick with the same thing too long. One good thing I've heard to do is to "write" the letters of the alphabet with your tongue on her clitoris. Eventually you will want to get into a bit more of a rhythm and increase your pace. Reach up and play with her breasts, run your hands down her leg, even insert a finger into her vagina. And, speaking of vagina, don't be afraid to "tongue-fuck" her. Basically, take your tongue, and stick it in her vagina as far as you can get it, and move it in and out a few times. This feels sublime for the girl, like nothing else you could imagine. But don't forget, it's that clitoris that will give her the orgasm, so get back there! Basically remember - not too hard, not too soft, and ask for her input! Tell her that if she can tell you what to do, it will make it easier for you to please her, and it will turn you on too (even if that's not entirely true...).

Q: How old were you when you lost your virginity?

A: The average reply to this question is 14-16 years of age.

Note: This statistic is nothing more than the average of LW members who voted in this poll. There is no set limit on what age you "should" lose your virginity. Some of the people surveyed also said they regretted losing it so young, so it is more important to lose your virginity when you're mentally and physically ready, as well as having found the right person, whatever age that may be; younger than you or older than you.

Q: Should I shave my pubic hair?

A: One member states: "Trim it if its long and in the way, but dont shave; ingrown hairs will be a bitch if you shave. As a personal preference, it just seems gross......I prefer hair; little kids have no hair down there, older people do.....thats how it is and should be."

Another member shares: " I shave mine and my girlfriend likes it that way. Now that I got used to shaving it, I do it about once a month and I feel much cleaner down there after shaving it. But I gotta tell ya, it takes a little bit of time to get used to because it will itch like heck the first several times...but after you get used to it, you'll like it and wouldn't be able to stand the hair like it's right now, so it prob will become a lifestyle."

To prevent ingrown hair, buy one of those scrubbies and scrub against the direction of hair growth to open up the follicals. Do not shave against the hair growth, if you do, you'll definitely get ingrown hair because it'll shave the hair so close that it gets trapped under the skin and keep growing under the skin.  Dont shave that close, just shave with the hair direction and it wont be as itchy.

Q: How do I give a guy oral sex? (Commonly referred to as head, blow job etc.)

A: JennyColada and wmudude are the experts on this:

- Tongue is good. Kind of like how fingers work with a hand job. A guy's dick has a WHOLE LOT of sensors on it (especially on the head). The more sensors that you activate the better it feels. It you move your tongue around a lot then it touches a whole lot of different places really quickly.

- Touch places that don't normally get touched. You also might want to concentrate on certain places of the dick. Here are a few that you might want to try: The ridge (you know how the tip kind of looks like a mushroom: the underside of the top of the mushroom is what I mean by "the ridge", the base (the spot closest to where the dick connects to the guys pelvis), the very tip of the head (especially near the opening). When you touch any place on someone's body that normally doesn't get touched the nerves go crazy.

- Be sure to keep it lubricated. To any dick...dryness is the devil. Since it has more sensors and nerves than most places on our body, the dick is very sensitive. This is good because the slightest touch can feel amazing, but also if something is rough (i.e. because of a lack of lubrication) it can feel uncomfortable. So...spit is your friend. Don't worry about it getting too lubricated.

- Suck a little. You don't want to try to rip it off, but if you suck it applies a little bit of pressure that can feel really good.

- Don't think that you have to fit the whole thing in your mouth all of the time. You want to alternate where you put the sensation. Kind of like when you rub one place on your arm for a really long time. It gets kind of boring after a while...right? Well, sometimes you want to move from your upper arm to your lower arm, and that can feel really great. It's the same concept. Sometimes it's good to "go deep" but other times it's great to stay at the head.

- Pay attention to body language. If the guy thrusts, then that's a good sign. It means that he likes it. By paying attention to his "pleasure movements" you will eventually figure out exactly what it is he enjoys.

- You might want to try playing, licking, or sucking (gently) on his balls as well. The outside of his testicles are a network of many nerves that can easily be stimulated by a light touch, brush, or blow.

- Right underneath his balls, where his sac meets his thigh, there is a muscle called the PC muscle. If you push or rub on this when he's close to ejaculating, you can slow the process down and even stop it if you don't want him to ejaculate just yet. This also has multiple nerve endings in it that are stimulated when touched.

Here is more advice from JennyColada and wmudude regarding good oral sex:

From JennyColada:

You should decide whether or not you want to swallow (or "spit"). It's totally not required, and any guy should be happy just to get the attention he's getting. But if you'd feel open to trying it, it's a huge turn on for most guys. I think that's because it's something that can be seen as a little 'dirty', which plays with their heads. Guys sometimes see their girlfriends as innocent little angels, and it just kind of teases their imagination to have you do something like that.

Here is a guide for time. Some girls aren't sure what to do in what order. So here is a good guideline. You don't HAVE to do this...you can do whatever you feel comfortable with. I'm sure that he'll LOVE it. But this is a good guideline to go by. What I would recommend is to unbutton his pants and pull them down a little, like down to his knees. Then tease him a little. Like touch "him" with your hands, very lightly. So that it's almost a tickle. While you're tickling start to blow on his penis lightly, this is when you should pull down his boxers. Then, when he's "exposed", lightly run your fingers up his thighs and over his balls and lightly touch his penis. Then, when he reeeeally wants it start to kiss the head of his penis. Then tease him a little with your lips and tongue. Just lightly running your tongue up and down his penis. This is where I would recommend starting the extreme ickyness action. If you haven't noticed...there is a lot of teasing going on here.

If your boy takes a long time to ejaculate, or doesn't ejaculate at all, it's ok. I don't think that you're doing anything "wrong". Some guys just take longer than others. Also, he might have been tired or not really horny. Also, I know that when my boyfriend has to pee or something he doesn't quite feel relaxed...so it will take him a lot longer to cum. If you get "complaints" that you're biting or using your teeth too much, maybe you were relaxing your mouth too much (closing your mouth or something) and your teeth were kind of scraping against him? You should just pay more attention about what your teeth are doing.

Also, the question about how experienced your boyfriend is comes into the ejaculation question. Maybe that is why he took a while to cum. Has he had sex before? The farther someone goes (sexually) the less good stuff feels "below" their sexual status. Like...my boyfriend doesn't really think hand-jobs feel that good anymore because he's felt better stuff.

And most importantly... Be comfortable with yourself. It's your uncomfortable or embarrassed, he'll know, and it won't feel all good for either of you (if I give a good bj it's a big turn on to me). Just remember that since it's you, (and as long as you don't bite it off) no matter what you do will be wonderful! It should never feel like a "job," you should both have fun and enjoy yourselves!

From wmudude:

While his erect penis points toward the ceiling, cup his balls in one hand and gently, using only your tongue, lick softly, but carefully along the entire underside of his erect organ. As you suck along the underbelly you will learn those areas that give him the greatest pleasure when your tongue is touching them. Unless he is made of stone, your partner will provide you with vivid clues as to which areas are most pleasurable.

As you discover these areas of enhanced pleasure concentrate on them. For most men the most sensitive area will be the point where the ring (or corona) of the head and the foreskin are attached. Or were attached prior to his circumcision. By continued licking and tapping along this area with your tongue you are going to bring forth a geyser. If you are not skilled and you want to please him in a hurry I suggest that you get him off in this manner in order to become familiar at first hand with the nature and delight of his climax.

As he is getting ready for climax you will note changes in his penis. These signs will be the same every time he climaxes so that you can prepare for his ejaculate properly. The head of the cock may swell somewhat larger then it is during the normal course of his erection. He may thrust his hips forward as he wants to send his body hurtling out his cock with his cum. And for most men, immediately prior to the cum, there will appear at the tiny, lovely lips at the tip of the cock a clear drop or two of fluid. When you see this or feel the opening at the meateus through his condom (if he's wearing one) you know that the moment of truth is at hand.

Place his stiff cock inside your mouth but do not tighten your lips around the shaft. With your head begin a circle motion. The cock will slide to different places in your mouth as you continue the circle motion. Watch your teeth on this one. A kneeling position will suffice but it is also effective when your partner is on his back and your head is directly over his cock. The circle should be executed in both clockwise and counterclockwise motions in a slow purposeful manner.

One of the first things you encountered when you first started to suck cock was a gag reflex. Consider for a moment that the average length of your oral cavity is three to three and a half inches while the average cock length is five to five and a half inches. The laws of nature would seem to dictate that getting all that cock into your mouth is an impossibility. The biggest obstacle to taking all of his cock down your throat is the fact that there is a bend of almost ninety degrees behind your tongue leading down into your throat. So the first thing to do is get the cock past that angle. In order to practice this, get in a position where you can turn your head in such a way that your mouth and throat lie almost in a straight line. The best position to accomplish this is to lie on a bed so that your head is near the edge with your body sprawled across the bed so that your head is tipped sharply back. This position will put your mouth and throat nearly in a line and will allow your partner to approach you in such a way that insertion of his cock can be made so deeply that his pubic hair presses against your lips.

Q: Can masturbating too much damage and/or bend my penis, or damage and/or change my vagina?

A: In short, no. There are many concerns when it comes to masturbating, such as physical damage, causing the growth of hair on the palm of your hand, etc., and these are basically all myths.

Q: My partner wants me to do engage in a sexual activity, but I don't know if I should and/or I feel a little uncomfortable. I love him/her, but I don't know if I am ready.

A: Never do anything that you don't want to, or are not ready to, otherwise you will end up regretting it later. Only do what you are comfortable with, and make sure your partner knows how you feel about the situation and make sure you know how they feel. Communication is the key to a successful sexual relationship.

Q: How do I know if I or my girlfriend had an orgasm?

A: One member states: Your question is a good one. Many people believe that an orgasm is always like something you see in porno movies, or the scene from the movie When Harry Met Sally. Many ordinary women have orgasms with shouting, gasping, racing pulse, strong muscular contractions and vaginal spasms, but many do not. Some are subtle, less obvious orgasms that may not be recognized. The woman may only experience a warm feeling and a flushed appearance, or light-headedness. Basically an orgasm represents a build up of tension in the body, and a release of that tension. Even women who have the more obvious types often have the less obvious, based on their emotional state, fatigue, etc. There is no good or bad orgasm. Many women who believe that they do not have orgasms, just may not recognize that they have. Orgasm should not be a goal to be reached. Too often sex can be frustrating because one or both of the partners is focused on an orgasm, as opposed to enjoying the experience itself. The less you worry about an orgasm, the more likely you are to reach one.

Another member says: You'll feel a build up in tension until it gets to an extreme point and all of a sudden it lets go. that's when you get your orgasm. You'll most likely feel slightly breathless afterwards and your muscles will relax and go slack after all the contracting that led up to the orgasm. this is so the wrong word but it'll feel kind of a like an 'explosion' down there. You will know when you have one.

Q: What are some female masturbation techniques?

A: One member offers this advice:

Electric Toohtbrush: Ok there are several things you can do with this. You can plug it in and just use the end of it the handle part not the toothbrush (obviously) and it works as a vibrator or if you want it can be a vibrating dildo. Another thing you can do is plug in the toothbrush turn it on and stick it between two pillows. It will vibrate and you stradle the top pillow and rock back and forth it will work good as well.

Hot Tub: For this you basically position yourself so that the jet is like maybe 6 inches away from you so you dont get the full blast just the effect from a little of a distance. You can get a similar effect from in a bathub filling up a squirt bottle with water and squeezing it at yourself under the water. Imagine that but alot better. But remember most importantly do not just sit on the jets or something position yourself away from them a little.

Improvised Dildos: Here is where you can be creative. You can use just about anything you can think of to improvise. Small conditioner bottles, flashlights, even vegitables like cucumbers and stuff. I must stress this though, make sure it's clean!! If possible clean whatever it is off and then put a condom on it. But you can be creative with this and there are a million things out there you can use.

Pillows: I stated the best pillow one above where you use something that vibrates (ex: electric toothbrush) and put it between a few pillows and basically you rock back and forth on the pillow while straddling it. You can do this without something vibrating underneath them but the effect is better if there is.

Washing machine: This one is pretty obvious. Basically you sit on top of the washnig machine as it goes into spin cycle. If its anything like my washing machine it will shake and vibrate alot. It's pretty simple you just sit on top of it and off it goes. Not the best method but it works from what i have heard.

I hope this info has helped you out. Maybe it will open up some new creative and wonderful things to some of you. Have fun!

Q: If my boyfriend has sperm on his finger and he then fingers me, can I get pregnant?

A: Yes. Sperm can swim, and they know where they're going.  However, it wouldn't have as much force as if it were ejaculated into your vagina, and sperm dies outside the body within a short period of time. The sperm on his finger could be dead, but it is possible to get pregnant in this matter.  It is reccomended that you use contraceptives in all sexual activities.

Q: My boyfriend and I want to have sex; should we use two condoms just to be safe?

A: Absolutely not!  This may seem safer, but if you use two condoms while having sex, the two comdoms will rub against one another and this actually makes it more likely to break!

Q: How do I measure my penis?

A: Finding your penis length:
Penis length is defined as the linear distance along the dorsal side of the erect penis extending from the mons veneris to the tip of the glans. In terms you and I would understand, this means the penis length is measured in a straight line on the top side of the erect penis, from the skin of your belly to the tip of your penis. Penis circumference is defined as the linear distance around the widest, thickest, part of the erect penis (see below).

1. Stimulate yourself using your method of choice until your cock is hard as a rock.
2. Place your ruler on the skin of your belly, at the base of your erect penis. Do not press in against your belly, why cheat yourself?
3. Press the ruler against your penis and read the nearest quarter-inch measurement at the tip of your penis.
4. Record this number, and keep this paper in a safe place.
5. Repeat this measurement two more times, and record the results along with your first measurement, preferably with different erections and preferably on different days. Why? Because your erections can vary slightly depending on your level or arousal, time of day, room temperature, and even ho long since your last sexual experience.

Finding your penis circumference:
Penis length is not the only factor in determining penis size. The width, girth, or fatness, of a penis is also an important aspect when considering how you compare. Most people have a penis that is either longer and thinner, or shorter and fatter. Use the instructions below to determine your penile circumference (distance around the widest part of your penis).

1. Stimulate yourself using your method of choice until your cock is hard as a rock.
2. Place a fabric ruler or a string end at the widest part of your penis and wrap it carefully around one time. Mark the spot where the string first touches itself.
3. If using string, take the marked string and lay it against the ruler. Read to the nearest quarter-inch measurement.
4. Record this number on your paper.
5. Repeat this measurement two more times, preferably with different erections and preferably on different days, recording the measurements each time.

Calculate your size:
Average the 3 numbers you recorded for your penis length. If you don't know how to take an average, just add up the 3 numbers, and divide the total by 3. This is your average penis length. Then, do the same for your penis circumference. Now you know just how big you are!

Wondering just how you compare with others? The average erect penis length is about 6 inches, but this can vary depending on what data or medical studies you are consulting.

Q: Am I still a virgin if I: use tampons, almost had sex but he just rubbed me, have had my hymen broken, etc?

A: While many people have different views on how you can lose your virginity, the general consensus it that  you are still a virgin unless your vagina has been penetrated by a penis.

Q: What are the common signs of early pregnancy?

A: If you're unusually tuned into your body, you might begin to suspect that you're pregnant within the first few days of pregnancy. But, most women don't suspect they are pregnant until they miss a period, and a few don't suspect or believe they are pregnant for months after conception.

Here are 5 common signs of early pregnancy. You may experience all, some or none of these symptoms.

A Missed Period. Missing your period is the most clear-cut sign of pregnancy. But it is not definitive, as stress or other factors may cause irregular periods.

Frequent Trips to the Bathroom. Even before missing a period, most pregnant women report having to go to the bathroom more often. You may even have to get up during the night! This occurs after the embryo has implanted in the uterus and begins producing the pregnancy hormone called human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG). This hormone triggers frequent urination.

Fatigue. Utter exhaustion is a very early sign of pregnancy. Fatigue is a result of high levels of the hormone progesterone.

Morning (and Noon and Night!) Sickness. Guess what? That queasy feeling isn't limited to mornings. Most pregnant women who experience morning sickness feel slightly nauseated at other times during the day as well. About half have vomiting, but very few have severe enough morning sickness to develop dehydration and malnutrition.

Sore (and Enlarged) Breasts. If you're pregnant, your breasts will probably become increasingly tender to the touch, similar to the way they feel before your period, only more so. Once your body grows accustomed to the increase in hormones, the pain will subside.

If you have any of the above symptoms, consider taking a pregnancy test as soon as possible.

Q: Does penis size matter?

A: Penis size has been mistakenly equated with sexual prowess in our culture. Interestingly, this mistake is made by men more often than women.

Many myths exist about the relationship between penis size and other parts of a man's body including feet, nose and fingers. Jokes about penis size abound needlessly because, simply put, size has nothing to do with sexual satisfaction or manliness. Yet it's difficult to convince many men that this is so.

The Facts About Penis Size:
Several things are often forgotten when it comes to heterosexual penile-vaginal intercourse.

First, the vagina is a very elastic environment through which a baby can pass, yet it's one that easily retains a tampon. In other words, it snugly accommodates the entity it surrounds.

Second, men and women give the vagina way more credit for sensitivity than is reasonable. The most sensitive part of the vagina is the part that is closest to the outside of a woman's body. Four inches will cover that.

Third, about three-quarters of women don't reach orgasm by intercourse unless they have simultaneous clitoral stimulation -- no matter what the size of the inserting body part.

Q: What is age of consent, and what is it for where I live?

A: First lets answer a few questions regarding age of consent.

What does the age of consent mean?
The age of consent is the age when the law says you can agree to have sex. Before you reach this age, you can't legally have sex with anyone, however old they are. The law says that to be able to have sex, both partners must be over the age of consent.

But what if our parents say it's okay?
That doesn't make any difference - your parents don't make the law. Teens can't get around the laws for smoking, drinking or driving because their parents say so, and it's the same with this. The age of consent laws always apply, whether you're in love, or you've been together for ages, or you've had sex before.

What is the age of consent?
What the age of consent is depends on where you live - there are different age limits in different places, and in some places the age of consent is different for boys and for girls

What is 'statutory rape'?
If you are under the age of consent and you choose to have sex with someone who is over the age of consent, then they can be charged with the crime of 'statutory rape'. Some countries have different names for this crime, and some states in the US call it 'unlawful sexual penetration' or just 'rape'.

Q: Can I get pregnant from precum?

A: It is very unlikely, but it is possible to get pregnant from precum.

When a male gets aroused, and before he ejaculates, drops of fluid secreted by some of the glands are released at the top of the penis. This is called precum, and the amount varies between individuals and according to conditions, depending on general health, the level of arousal, and the time since the last ejaculation. Precum serves as a lubricant for intercourse, and it possibly facilitates fertilization by changing the vaginal pH, creating a more sperm-friendly environment. In general, a male can produce precum at any time from the point he becomes sexually aroused until the time he ejaculates. There is no standard interval of time between the initiation of precum and ejaculation.

Only on occasion does precum contain some sperm. Although rare, pregnancies due to precum have been reported. Therefore, even though the chances are small, a woman can get pregnant if precum has entered her vagina.

Q: What are blue balls?

A: "Blue balls" is a slang term referring to testicular aching that may occur when the blood that fills the vessels in a male's genital area during sexual arousal is not dissipated by orgasm.

When a man becomes sexually excited, the arteries carrying blood to the genital area enlarge, while the veins carrying blood from the genital area are more constricted than in the non-aroused state.

This uneven blood flow causes an increase in volume of blood trapped in the genitals and contributes to the penis becoming erect and the testicles becoming engorged with blood. During this process of vasocongestion the testicles increase in size 25-50 percent.

If the male reaches orgasm and ejaculates, the arteries and veins return to their normal size, the volume of blood in the genitals is reduced and the penis and testicles return to their usual size rather quickly.

If ejaculation does not occur there may be a lingering sensation of heaviness, aching, or discomfort in the testicles due to the continued vasocongestion. This unpleasant feeling has popularly been called blue balls, perhaps because of the bluish tint that appears when blood engorges the vessels in the testicles.

Q: What are the four bases, when it comes to sexual experiences?

A: Here, we mourn the passing of using baseball analogies to describe sexual activity. But let's face it, there are more than four stages in today's day and age of sex play. So, in the interests of both bringing baseball sex metaphors in line with the complications of modern romance and with standardizing the bases, we present the Standardized Guide to the Bases.

On Deck: Having plans for a date
Strike-Out: Duh!!
Walk: Kissing
Bunt: Masturbation
Single: Tongue kissing
Double: Breasts/chest touched, some clothes off, lots of grabbing and feels
Triple: Most of the clothes off, genital contact, mutual masturbation
Inside the park home run: Oral Sex
Home Run: SEX!
Ground Rule Double: Would have sex, but no condom
Error: Condom breaks during sex
Banned for life for gambling: Sex without a condom
Hall of Fame: Marriage

Now that we've got the basics, let's introduce some terms to better explain all the things that can happen now a days:

Balk: Premature ejaculation
Pine Tar: KY jelly
Relief pitcher: Vibrator
Rain Delay: Parents/roommate return home unexpectedly
Box Seats: Waterbed
Seventh Inning Stretch: Unusual positions
Rookie: Virgin
Minor Leagues: Under 18
Loaded Bases: Ménage à trois
Grand Slam: Sex three times in twelve hours
Foul tip: VD
Three up and three down: Impotency
Switch Hitter: Bisexual

While there are many versions to "The Bases", the four bases are pretty similar in most cases. Nowadays most people don't even refer to the bases, but if you do, use the above list and be creative!

Q: What are some popular hair removal techniques?

Waxing:
definition: Spreading heated wax over the area where you want hair removed, letting it dry, then pulling it off--hair, roots and all. The most common wax job is a bikini wax, especially in bathing suit season.
frequency: Lasts four to six weeks.
cost: If you do it at home, not much more than depilatories or bleaching, but having it done by a pro can cost almost the same as a haircut at a beauty salon. $$ - $$$$
pain: Sort of like ripping an adhesive bandage off a large area of skin. Some redness and irritation can follow.
pros: Removes hair for anywhere from two to six weeks.
cons: Ripping hair out by its roots with hot wax is very painful. Having it done professionally can be expensive. (Note: Also ask about "sugaring" and "threading," which operate on the same basic principle as waxing.)
tip: Some people like to use a loofah or other abrasive sponge between waxing sessions to avoid the development of "ingrown hairs."

Plucking:
definition: Pulling hair out one by one with a pair of tweezers.
frequency: As needed. Once you tweeze a hair, it's gone for a good month, but others grow nearby.
cost: If you do it yourself, nothing, once you've bought the tweezers. $
pain: Hurts for a second or two, especially in sensitive areas.
pros: You do it yourself (you control cost, the extent and whether or not to continue doing it).
cons: It can hurt at the time. It's only temporary.

Laser Hair Removal:
definition: Invented in 1995, laser hair removal involves waxing first to remove hair, then rubbing a carbon-based lotion on the skin, then passing a laser over the area. Follicles are damaged, but not the skin. It is said to work best for people with light skin and dark hair.
frequency: Results are not permanent, but they are long-term.
cost: Very expensive. Price varies according to the area being treated, but most treatments will cost at least a thousand dollars. $$$$$$
pain: Less painful than electrolysis, except to the wallet.
pros: Near-permanent hair removal.
cons: Thousands of dollars so you won't grow hair. An inexperienced technician may burn your skin.

Depilatory (Nair):
definition: A cream or gel that you put on the area where you want hair removed. It burns, melts and otherwise damages the hair roots. Then you wash the stuff off along with your hair..
frequency: Lasts a couple of weeks to a month.
cost: Not prohibitive. Buy a reputable product at your drugstore. $ $
pain: Can burn or irritate sensitive areas. (Always follow the directions carefully, and use only on the recommended parts of your body.)
pros: You do it yourself and the result is a very smooth, hairless area that lasts longer than shaving.
cons: It can burn or leave sensitive skin red. It smells bad, even the stuff labeled "fresh scent." It can be a severe skin and eye irritant, and dark-haired users may have a visible "shadow" of hair under the skin.

Bleaching:
definition: Chemically lightening the color of hair.
frequency: Depends on how fast your hair grows; usually lasts about a month. Repeat when hair becomes two-tone.
cost: Slightly more than depilatories. Buy a name brand. $ $
pain: Can cause some irritation in sensitive areas. Might be wise to test it on some less visible area first.
pros: Doesn't involve removing the hair, so you don't have to deal with how the hair will come back (no stubble, just dark).
cons: It is a chemical, so the skin may get irritated. It doesn't remove the hair, so if there is a lot of it, even if it is blond, it may be visible. May actually make hair more visible against dark skin.

Shaving:
definition: Using a razor to cut off hair right at the skin.
frequency: Daily to weekly depending on how fast the hair grows. (Can be done less often in winter).
cost: Just the cost of razors and cream or soap. $ $
pain: None, if you don't cut yourself. But can cause some irritation.
pros: You do it yourself anytime.
cons: Once you start shaving, hair comes back nubby and potentially thicker. Can cause ingrown hairs. Razor burns, shaving nicks and other razor mishaps can also cause discomfort.

Electrolysis:
definition: A qualified practitioner inserts a filament, or long thin needle, into each individual hair follicle and zaps it with an electric current. This is the only permanent, or nearly permanent, method of hair removal. It's used mostly for facial hair.
frequency: To remove, say, a mustache, usually requires weekly visits for a few months (because new hair grows all the time); then you can taper off with touch-up visits.
cost: Expensive. Probably several hundred dollars for a mustache; less if you're just having a few stray whiskers removed. $$$$$
pain: No picnic, but not as bad as a hard day at the dentist. Helps to take ibuprofen or another pain reliever about a half hour before. There are also creams that you can rub on your skin to temporarily numb the area.
pros: Hair removal is eventually permanent.
cons: Each session is very expensive, the treatment is fairly painful, and you need to find a good practitioner in order for the work to be permanent and to avoid slip-ups that can cause scarring.

Trimming:
definition: Using scissors to cut unwanted hair (like pubic hair that hangs out of your bathing suit).
frequency: As needed.
cost: Nothing, once you have the scissors. $
pain: None.
pros: You do it yourself, and it doesn't hurt.
cons: Though it reduces the length of the hair, it doesn't remove it from sight.

Q: How do I put on and use a condom?

A: Human error causes more condom failure than manufacturing errors, so here is how to put one on properly.

A condom is to be put on after the penis is erect and before the penis touches the vagina, anus, or mouth. It is important to be gentle with condoms and to keep them out of the sun (even when they are in their packaging). The majority of condoms are latex: never put lotions, baby oil, cold cream, vaseline on latex condoms as they weaken the condom. Instead, use a water-based lubricant like K-Y jelly or glycerin.

Step 1
Check the expiration date printed on the condom's wrapper. If it is expired or the packaging has been punctured or opened, don't use it.

Step 2
Open the condom's packaging and gently remove the condom careful not to apply too much force to the condom. Avoid contact between your fingernails and the condom as it could increase the risk of the condom breaking during sex.

Step 3
Hold the condom by the tip to remove the air, leaving some space at the tip to contain the ejaculate (also known as cum). Unroll the condom all the way down over the penis.

Instructional Video

Following sex, the male should hold the condom at the rim and pull out slowly while the penis is still hard. Always use a fresh new condom if you decide to have sex again following the initial coitus.

Q: Am I ready for sex?

A: Just having sex for the first time can be a huge emotional event. There many questions and feelings that you may want to sort out before you actually get "in the heat of the moment", so ask yourself these questions.

Questions about yourself:
- Am I really ready to have sex?
- How am I going to feel about myself after I have sex?
- How am I going to feel about my partner afterwards?
- Am I doing this for the right reasons?

Questions about your upbringing:
- How do your parents feel about you having sex?
- What is the position of your church, synagogue or temple on the subject?
- Will you have to lie about having sex later?
- Will you feel guilty?

Questions about your health:
- How do you plan to protect yourself from sexually transmitted diseases or pregnancy?
- Will your decisions affect your mental or social health?
- Are you well informed on the possible consequences of a pregnancy or an STD?

Good things to remember:
- You are never truly alone. There is always some help somewhere for you. Find a friend you trust, your school nurse or counselor, or maybe even your mom or dad. Talk with them.

- A local STD clinic will help you know what you can be tested for and when testing will be accurate. Remember, if you decide to have sex, you can decide not to have sex any more until you're ready.

Something to Think About:
Deciding to have sex or not is probably one of the biggest decisions you will have to make. You do not have to have sex before you are ready. It's OK to decide to wait to have sex if that is what you wish. Sex can be fun, but "fun" only lasts for a moment. Other possible consequences of sex, such as an STD or an unplanned pregnancy, can last for a lifetime. Whatever your decision is, be prepared to look at yourself in the morning.

Q: Where is the male G-Spot and how do I get to it?

A: Yes, there is a magic pleasure button in a man's body that, if stimulated, will produce amazing orgasms. It's easy to find and fun to touch -- if your idea of fun is hearing your man howl with pleasure! However, unlike its female counterpart, the "male G-Spot," correctly known as the "prostate gland," serves an important biological function.

The prostate is a small gland, about the size and shape of a quail's egg. Nestled in the man's pubic bone and surrounded by the pelvic muscles, the prostate gland will respond to pressure applied through the rectum.

Like any form of anal play, prostate stimulation isn't for everyone. Some people associate the anus with feelings of dirtiness or shame, while others just don't respond well to this form of stimulation. If you decide to try prostate manipulation, you need to respect your inhibitions -- and those of your partner -- by taking things slow.

  • Start with a hot shower so you and your partner will feel clean.
  • Don't just jump into prostate stimulation -- enjoy a little foreplay first!
  • Use lots of lubricant! Most couples report Anal Eze is best for this!
  • To find the prostate gland, reach down between your partner's legs, insert your index finger into the anus to the second knuckle and press forward, in a firm "come hither" motion. You'll be able to feel the prostate through the front part of the rectal wall.
  • Press gently. If you or your lover likes the sensation, press a little more firmly. You or your lover might enjoy a "shunting" sensation, experienced by smooth, rapid insertion and removal of one or more fingers.
  • Try using a sex toy! While many women's G-Spot toys work well for prostate stimulation, you'll also want to try some of the acrylic toys made specifically for anal play. If you opt to use a woman's G-Spot toy, be sure to select one with a wider safety base designed for harness or anal play. Also, if you've already used this toy on a woman for G-Spot stimulation, be sure to clean it and use a condom on it before inserting it for anal use.
  • If you find you don't enjoy the sensation of prostate stimulation alone, try pairing it with genital massage or oral sex.

Your response to prostate stimulation depends on your particular physiology. Some men experience crashing orgasms when they stimulate their prostate glands, while others simply enjoy a great deal of pleasure. Some men don't enjoy the sensation at all, while others could take it or leave it. If you are unsure about your feelings toward this type of sensation, try it! If you don't like it, you don't have to do it again.

Q: Can I get pregnant from swallowing sperm?

A: No, you cannot get pregnant from swallowing sperm (cum). The only way to get pregnant is if a sperm and egg meet inside a woman through vaginal sex or penetration to the vagina with sperm. You cannot get pregnant from swallowing sperm because there are many barriers between where an egg is released and your digestive tract (where the sperm goes if you swallow it).

Q: How can I last longer in bed?

A: The "stop and start" method involves bringing yourself just before the point of no return, and stopping all movement before it is too late. When the urgency to ejaculate subsides, start thrusting again, and repeat several times.

This can also be practiced using your partner's hand, mouth or even by yourself. It may require some trial and error, as you may pass that point accidentally.

Many people are not aware of it, but proper breathing can help develop ejaculatory control. This is because taking a few deep breaths can help you relax and calm the arousal and tension that leads to quick ejaculations. Practice deep, easy, relaxed breathing and relax your entire body.

Communication is another key to long-lasting sex. Let your partner know when you are getting close and what you can and cannot handle. This will involve the use of actual words, since non-verbal cues are easily misunderstood. "Stop," "Hold it," "Start," and "More," are obvious choices and anything else that's short and clear, is acceptable.

Other causes of premature ejaculation are anxiety, fear or discomfort with your partner. Premature ejaculation is less likely to occur if the couple knows each other well; feels comfortable with one another; both partners are consenting; in a comfortable, relaxed and private setting; and after contraception issues have been discussed.

Many men can also last longer the second time around, so perhaps this can be incorporated into your love-making. If round one is short, please her with some extended foreplay using your mouth, or with an erotic massage during half-time until your soldier is ready for battle once again.

Condoms reduce the amount of stimulation experienced during sex. Many men find that a condom makes them last longer because of the decreased stimulation. As you all know, condoms provide the best protection against STDs and pregnancy, so they have added benefits.

The position of lovemaking may also affect a man's ability to last in bed. The 'missionary' position, with the man on top, is not the best position while attempting to control ejaculation. All men, however, are different and some men find it harder to hold themselves when their partner is in control.

Experiment and vary the positions according to what allows you to control yourself better.

Finally, strong, well developed pelvic muscles will allow you better control and make you more aware of what is happening in your nether regions. Pelvic floor muscles are the ones used to stop and start urination. Hold the muscles for three seconds, relax for three seconds, and repeat ten times.

You can do this at anytime and in anyplace. Eventually, you should be able to work your way up to 100 ten-second contractions per day.

Premature ejaculation can be easily countered with patience, effort and knowledge. Informing yourself is the first step, and once you know about the problem, you are halfway there. Overcoming the mental and physical aspects of this problems are also much easier if both partners are involved, aware of the situation and open to discuss it.
