it causes ulcers and possibly infections in the large intestines and bowel. he already had a certain amount of intestine taken out. he says doctors don't give him as long a life span as everyone else. but if he has another infection, he doesn't have much intestine to give. could I possibly be able to give some of my intestines, if our blood type matched?

I dont think so but you could still check. I dont believe that is a transferable organ.

i think many organs are transplantable, unfortunately it wouldnt do anything to help chrons. One of my friends has it too, and i think she has to get blood transfusions every once in a while.

Don't you think that the right way would be ask your friend to check up with doctor? This forum is not the right place to get answer to your question. But I am deeply touched by your friendship. Your friend is lucky to have a friend like you
