Key Features:
--------------------------------

- Set your mood when you sign in or change it at any time by going to your QuickList and selecting "Change Mood"

- See your current mood to the right of the word "QuickList" and in your public profile

- Track your mood swings in your profile with Daily, Weekly, and Monthly graphs of your relative happiness level.

- Earn 1 reward point each time you change your mood (maximum of one reward point per hour)

- See who is having a rough day in Active Members

- Use "Low-Spirited" in Active Members to show only members who might need a thoughtful message sent to them to make their day a little bit better.

- Put your mood on your website! Show a small image that displays your current mood and online status on your website. Update it anytime you like on Livewire.

Example of me using this on my personal site:

Get the coding for your website, MSN Space, or MySpace:
http://www.golivewire.com/forums/myaccount.cgi?action=moodcoding

- Automatically get points for referring people who 'Get Yours' on the mood insert and sign up.

Haha David this is cool but where is the "I just spent two hours getting bled on at work by a freak" mood?

-- Posted by TiMmMeE at 4:20 am on June 28, 2006

Heheh, there should also be a "Shit I'm in pain" mood as I just hit my head.

It's a really cool feature and I like it a lot, David.  It's going to make things a bit more interesting I should say.  Not to start suggesting changes as soon as you make the feature, but a dropdown menu right on your profile would probably be easier for mood-changing.

Edit: the change-mood option in the quicklist is pretty handy, though.  A drop down menu might not be necessary.

Hahahha, David, CHARTS!!! I love it!!!!  HAHHAHA.

Edit: hey David, still working on blogs?  This would be a marvelous tie-in.  And the fact that it tracks your mood over time is both interesting and could be used for support-purposes, if people take it seriously.

I LOVE IT.

EDIT: This is going to be fabulous. Just one look at my mood chart once a month or so and I'll know exactly when my next period is due!

My thoughts exactly, my thoughts exactly.

Great addition to the site.

Okay, I'm stupid I can't see it anywhere... quick list is the navigation on the right of the page? I even went into my account and didn't see it. I walk around with my eyes half closed most of the time. Anyways it's a good idea. :)

Does that mean we will know as a community if you period is late, thereby becoming human pregnancy detectors?

Whatever tickles your pickle, doll. Although I feel it'll act more as a 'stay away from katy' warning than a 'this bitch might be preggers' sign.

Holy Crap! This is amazing!  Great feature!

-- Posted by davjs at 4:44 am on June 28, 2006

I've worked all night to finish it up, but it's finished! With that, as it's 4:43am, I'm going to bed. Ana, it does look great on your blog, I agree!

'Night all!

You need to go to your profile and get your member ID off the end then change it in the code. In your case, your member ID is 538992713 so the code should read

Aww what a good idea. its really cute. I may use it on my own website.  =]

-- Posted by TheOtherHorseman at 5:02 am on June 28, 2006

I wanted my mood to be "full of bees."

I'll go with relaxed, though.

Neat.

Maybe there could be a customizable option?

-- Posted by TiMmMeE at 5:05 am on June 28, 2006

Well, I think either way David has just finished the feature and thus there is just the bare minimum of possible moods to choose from.  I bet he'll add more later.

-- Posted by TheOtherHorseman at 5:08 am on June 28, 2006

Full of bees is not a real emotional state, but if it was, it would totally be represented by this:

-- Posted by star12300 at 5:10 am on June 28, 2006

HAHA I think that's a fantastic idea!

-- Posted by dovelove at 5:48 am on June 28, 2006

Oh my gosh, is this cool. I love it! Great idea, David!

-- Posted by ilovecookies at 6:18 am on June 28, 2006

At first I was rather weary, but I'm feeling better now. Put a "Get free reward points" tab on something, and I'll love it.

-- Posted by shh at 6:33 am on June 28, 2006

Cool, this is an awesome addition.

Edit: I like how it says on my QuickList, "Sleepy & Browsing Privately."

You know what the charts reminded me of, first? The pH scale. Yeah, that's right, I've been doing my Chemistry homework.

In any event, I like this addition. Saves asking how everyone is, at the very least.

Is there a way I can put it on my myspace page?  Since myspace doesn't allow I-frames...hmmmm.  but kewl feature!
