Whenever I'm doing a full system scan using Ad-Aware SE, it always stops at "Deep Scanning Files on C:"

It doesn't change. At all. I've waited at least 20 minutes, and nothing has happened. This is the second time I've done this.

If anybody knows jackshit about Ad-Aware, can you tell me what's happening? Or should I just get a new virus thing?

usually it means you got a crapload of spyware.  i did that to my friends machine.  it froze for 45 minutes before it finally said 2400 objects found...

I've already had Spy Sweeper, it's not free and it didn't do anything. As for Panda Anti-Virus-- no. Just no.

Ah. Okay. That sounds about right. Hmm I guess I shall wait it out, unless somebody else tells me otherwise..

Yeah. I know.

I've been looking through the old topics on SpyWare, and a lot of people said Ad-Aware does a fine job. It just keeps stopping when it gets to a certain point.

AWWWW! Whats wrong with you???? PANDA??? WTF? Panda sucks ASS! Panda itself attaches spy-ware and viruses TO THEIR OWN SOFTWARE..

Any ways, get Spy-bot, it's a free and more stable anti-spy-ware program.

Also, ad-aware isn't anti-virus, it's anti-spyware.

Also, before you do a scan, clear your internet cache.

AND, if you need anti-spyware, get avast

One: SpyBot doesn't do jack shit.

Two: I know that Adaware isn't an anti-virus software. I'm not fucking dumb. By "Virus thing" I figured anybody with common sense would know what I meant.

Three: I don't have anything, but I think it ruins the flow of things when you don't say Three >.> <.<

I use Ad-Aware SE, dont use full system scan all the time, just use it once a while, unless is ur first time scanning ur comp. Otherwise use smart system scan. When I use full system scan, it usually takes awhile as well, perhaps u have alot of stuff of ur C drive to scan, just wait awhile, if it doesnt finish in max 2hours, than it means something is wrong

This is my first time using it. And also, my problem isn't that the scanning is taking long, my problem is that it's taking a long time scanning ONE FOLDER. The folder isn't even that big, either.

-sighs- I'm never going to get rid of my spy/adware.

My ad-aware takes rediculous amounts of time scanning. Twenty minutes on that operation doesnt seem too long. Leave it scanning overnight, and if it's still doing it in the morning, then it's mucked up.

I've done it for over an hour =( But I eventually got rid of it and instead downloaded avast! because I had trojans and ewido anti-spyware.
