You're talking about RAM, and here's the size breakdown: 1 bit is just a 1 or a 0. 8 bits make 1 byte. 1024 bytes makes 1 kilobyte (KB) 1024 kilobytes makes 1 megabyte (MB) 1024 megabytes makes 1 gigabyte (GB) 1024 gigabytes makes 1 terabyte (TB) You get the idea. Anyways, if you're looking to buy more RAM, you'll want the same speed and type as whatever you already have. IDE even SATA Storage is very cheap at the moment. What concerns me is that if you only have GB in the PC at the moment and that was as new how do you know the PC is up to running the SIMS? It seems to me that the PC must be a fair few years old now.
