I started a topic a while ago about removing the Support Leader status off members who have not been active in the E-help section for a while. But someone replied and said that wouldn't be fair because they may well help out in the forum and I agree, I didn't think of that.

So I'm wondering, do you help our with support issues MORE in the E-help section, or in the support forums?

Do you go into the "Random Musings" forum etc and save your support for the e-helps or any PMs that come your way?

Or do you dodge the random forums and spent pretty much all your time in the support forums & e-help?

Do you access or respond in E-help at all?

I personally rely on the Fresh Topics more than anything. I tend to not float through forums unless I'm in one of them moods. So if a support topic comes up in the Fresh Topics then I go in there and check it out. If there's some e-helps flashing then I check them out and try to respond. Sometimes I float through the e-helps which has received their 3 replies and I reply too. 3 opinions is good, but I'm sure 4 is more appreciated. =)

Edit: I realise there should have been more poll options. Imagine there's an "Other" there and post. =)

I go through phases of supporting at not, I'm sure everyone does.

I try to mix between forums and e-helps.

Though I feel I'm far more helpful on the forums.

I'm in all the forums and sometimes in the e-help.
If I see I can help or feel to respond I do it.

I normally answer quite a lot in the forums. I don't try and answer every e-help if I don't think I can add anything more that's already been said

In the Tech forums :-)

I go over to DTRM too, when I'm bored.

I spend an equal time in both. If i'm honest i'm not doing as much as i could be, but i have to be in a certain frame of mind to be able to give the best advice possible. I'll still give it a try most of the time though.

Null Vote-- Yes I support people on this site, but I also screw around in DTRM.  I don't really like these poll options.

I do all the forums.

It really does depend on my mood, as I think it does with everybody.  Sometimes I'm feeling really helpful, at other times, not.

I answer on pretty much every e-help I can. Whenever I get the PM I am ready to answer the problem. I spend most of my time on DTRM and not really on any support forums, apart from Hygiene and Fitness.

I try and answer every Ehelp that pops up when I'm active.

As for the support forums, i usually stick to the Fresh Topics, or i browse through to see topics that have low numbers of replies.

I also browse through the "Unloved Topics" to see people who have asked for help that didn't receive it.

But mostly, i spend my time in DTRM, R&P, And the Art forums.

I spend the majority of my time posting in the support forums, and occasionally answering an ehelp.

Every once in awhile, I'll post in DTRM.  But for the most part, I stick with the support forums.

I rarely help because I rarely have anything useful to contribute, generally either I have no idea what to say, or other people have already said it.

I do help where I feel I can, but that doesn't happen very often

I help in the situations I can, but I tend to stay around the dating/sexuality forum, and I do any e-help that I feel I can really contribute and relate to.

''I almost always spend my time in the SUPPORT forums and E-help.''

I do mostly do this. I may not reply to every single one, but i do read most and i do read all the topics too in the support forums.

I'm a mixture. I'll also rely on the fresh topics and rarely venture into individual forums. I use e-help frequently. Sometimes more frequently than at other times.

Everywhere, mostly fresh topics.

-- Posted by JennyColada at 3:15 pm on Nov. 23, 2006

I reply to a lot of the fresh topics, and then I spend some of my time in the less supportive forums (Teen Sexuality, Travel, and the Jobs forum mostly). I try to reply to eHelps when I have time and something of value to say.

Me too.

I stick to fresh topics, and sometimes visit the Depression forum.

I picked the second one. I just became a support leader.  I feel that I need to be alert and in the right mindset before I can help others, and the last few days I have been in too much pain (physically) to contribute much.  But in the future, I plan to do a little bit of each thing.

-- Posted by GOREGASM at 4:39 am on Nov. 28, 2006

Forums, I'm not even sure I have ever contributed to an e-help.

-- Posted by dunebug at 6:39 am on Nov. 28, 2006

Right now I'm fresh to Support Leader-ing again so I'm quite active in the eHelp system as well as the forum. I will probably slow down with eHelp in a couple weeks. I spend most of my time in the Teen Sexuality forum helping out there. I tend to not reply to (what I consider) "spam" posts (ie: what's your hair colour, shoe size, fav movie, fav sex position) much. I prefer to actually wait until a post comes along that I can give real advice on.
