So I never even thought about joining a sorority at the beginning of the year but I just went to the spring rush event and now I'm not so sure. I go to a school that is 75% male and so girls NEVER hang out iwth each other, and even my best friend and I don't hang out much anymore cuz she has a girlfriend. My boyfriend is in a fraternity and soem days I am jelous of them, cuz they are all such good friends and always have stuff going on and people to fall back on. I love the boys but I miss hanging out iwth girls and being able to giggle and talk about guys, and i HATE video games lol. I just went to the sorority open houses and met some really cool girls in one of the sororities and I kind of want to join but my parents say they don't see the point of sororities/fraternities, my best friend/roomate is always dissing on the sorority girls saying how she would NEVER join, and wost of all it costs a LOT of money. like, 400 bucks a semester plus an initiation fee thats like another 300...... I'm n ot sure I have that much money in my name and my parents would NEVER pay for it. I dunno what to do.... is anyone here in a sorority/fraternity?

Frankly there's no reason that you can't be friends with some sorority girls without being in their sorority. Even though I'm a proud member of Phi Mu Alpha, I wouldn't say that you need to join one to make friends with them. In fact, I would strongly caution against any greek organization in which you don't already feel close with. Because, trust me, things can get awkward, especially with sororities.
