I'm the kind of guy that over thinks things, I'm not desperate, and I've been in a few relationships, but I tend to cling on too hard. Take this one for example: I hung out with a girl on Valentine's Day. It was fun I guess, her best friend kept messaging me asking whether its a date or we're just hanging out. Which was awkward cause her best friend and I went out once a long time ago. But anyway, I guess it was fun. Like, we had a very pleasant conversation, with now awkward silences, and it was engaged. The thing is, I don't know what she thought of it. She acted no different than usual, her cheery and witty self. I had to go all of a sudden, so we didn't even hug. It was very unexpected, but I had to turn to take my train at one point, and it was sorta awkward. So I texted her saying I had fun, and she responded with a smiley, which could be interpreted as anything. So I was talking to her best friend that night, and I was like "I still dunno if it was a date, she acted no different around me", and her best friend was like "That's how she is, she doesn't act different around guys she likes" She offered to find out if she likes me, but I said "it's ok." Anyway, the next night, I was helping the girl I was with hw on AIM, and she thanked me a lot int he endm and she was like "You're the awesomest". Afterwards, I asked her if she wanted to hang out again sometime, and she said "Sure, just not this week." Anyway, I'm not sure what to do now, because I'm not sure if she likes me, and I don't know her well enough, but for some reason I care so much about how she says the things she says. I have a pretty involved life, and a lot of stuff I gotta do, and I honestly don't know hwe well enough to say I like her, I'm just afraid I'll do something stupid and screw it up again. Would it be best to not talk to her till next week, and the remind her? For some god damn reason, when we talk, I pay way too much attention to the things she says, and how she says them, and I fucking overanalyze everything. Which is funny, because when I am with her, she helps stop overthinkling things, and just enjoy the situation =) And the other thing, I don't want to make a move if she thinks we're going out as friends, so what would be a good way to clarify that with her?

Call back the friend and say that you're even more confused now and you do want her to ask her whether she likes you. I've done stuff like that before, and it really is a pretty easy thing to do. And if you want to just plain ask her out, I say do it asap, but if you don't know if she'll know that it's more than friends, just state it clearly. Something like, "I've really enjoyed hanging out with you the past couple weeks (or however long) but I also wanted you to know that I really like you. So, will you be my girlfriend?" and make it all cheesy and cute and she'll be like all excited about it... Hope that helps.

Well if you don't know her well enough yet as you say, just get to know her more on a personal level. If you start hanging out with her more, it'll clarify your feelings.

This has nothing to do with spam. hahahaha. I think you can remind her before hand about hanging out. To show you like her as more than just friends. When you go out flirt with her. Look into her yes, smile at her, jokingly tease her. She should get your hints and respond to them in some way. Good or bad.
