My grandfather passed away about a month or 2 ago.

I had I believe 2 opportunities to see him. Both of which I didn't go because I didn't want to drive to Dallas from Austin. (4 hour drive)

He was sick and had heart failure the 2nd and last visit my mother went on. She talked to him for a while even in his condition, she left, got home and found out he had passed away.

I dunno why I thought about this, but it pisses me off I didn't see him before he passed. Mother effer.

Aw. I wish I could tell you it goes away. As crazy as it sounds, talk to him...say a prayer for him, let him know you miss him and care...

I'm sorry to hear it. But don't feel guilty, I don't really understand why you should. You hadn't been terrible to him before, had you? You had a good reason not to see him, and there must be a good reason why you did not see him. Don't feel like you did anything wrong. I mean, he was your grandfather, but it's over now

ok one thing you gotta leanr is never live with regrettes or guilt simply learn from your mistakes so you can be a better person. You being guilty wont do any justice, and I am sure whereever he is he forgives you. and holds nothing againt you.

Nah, I was always nice to him.

We moved down here in 2000 and I lived with him for a year or two. And you could imagine how close people become if you live under the same roof. He was like another father figure in my life.

I want to say I didn't want to see him like he was. I had seen him months previously and he looked terrible. Nothing I had ever seen like that before. He was said to be in very bad condition when we had visited about 6months before his death. But for some reason, I think he somewhat knew who we were. And he tried to pull himself together.

Just wish I coulda seen em' 1 last time.

Alright, well it doesn't sound to me like you're actually guilty, more just sad. It sounds like a big ordeal to go through, I hope you come out of this okay.

I am sorry for your loss, try not to let these feelings cause you grief or guilt. I am sure your grandfather knew how much you really did care about him.
