Have fun! It took my dad a whole day to install it, then it was too slow for him, so he uninstalled it and put windows back on. Hopefully you will have better luck!

Celeron 366 with 192 mb RAM.

Voodoo Banshee videocard is the main problem, bloody thing wont go above 800 by 600 screen resolution. It fucked it up the first time I tried becasue I left it on a higher resolution and couldnt read anything. Installing again now.

goddammit dont be all camplaining about redhat being hard give Gentoo a try it only took me 2 months to get it right (its worth it though :D 0

You can fit linux well on a slow computer with 32mb of memory, just not with the graphics subsystem, and alot of things running at once. I wouldn't recommend slack for this, perhaps Gentoo?

i believe gentoo has a 64 meg o ram requirement if you are going to do things gui style. it also takes up alot of space on ur hd (i believe my friend told me it was 4 gig) because $emerge system takes alot of space and usually is like a 5 hour process
