that you are never going to go to school again? That you can never be as utterly irresponsible as when you were younger, that you can never rely on anyone else or expect them to pull you out of doing something stupid or destructive? That you are never going to have a tiny little child body ever again? That you will never get to redo growing up and either make different mistakes or do things differently than you did? That you'll never fit in kids clothes or be able to wear puffy princess dresses without looking stupid? that you'll never get to do stuff other kids did that you missed out on because you are too old now? that you will never be pretty in that fresh unblemished way that some people seem to acheive in their teens but that for you was marred by acne and dark circles round your eyes or some other set of imperfections? that you'll never have the body some of your classmates had in their teens? do you ever feel bad that you wasted your youth being cynical and never got a chance to actually be innocently in love and trusting (even if it did spare you some pain)?

nope cuz im going to 10th grade next year

Well im still in my youth but no, it doesn't make me sad.  Regrets about the past will only weigh down the present.

-- Posted by Rastafarian at 6:04 pm on Feb. 22, 2007

Yes. Totally does.

That hasn't occurred for me yet, but I still think the answer is no. I can still look as stupid and be as cynical as I want once I leave school, but with the added benefit of being self-sufficient.

Only for a moment.  Plus I haven't really made any bad decisions which I would regret.

Mm, im at college so im not totally old yet, but yeah i do miss the good ole days.

Its scary just how quickly my life seems to be going. The nineties seem like yesterday to me!

Its funny, you spend years 1-15 wishing you were older, and now i kind of want to slow down time for a bit, so i can just enjoy being 17.

yeah when I was a kid I wanted so bad to grow up and my parents said when I grow up I will want to be a kid again and I didn't beleive them, fool that I was!

It is scary though! I will wake up 20 years from now and freak out that only yesterday I was 20!

for me, it doesn't make me sad at all.  I love the fact that i can support myself, and (for a while) i supported my ex too (when she was my gf).  That made my life happy.  Being dependant on others isn't something i like.

The only thing i dislike is not being able to fix mistakes, but at the same time, i know that by making them, i've learned better.  I'd only change them if i could keep the lessons learned from them
