ok heres a little back story. I'm Tanya hi. I got a partial ride for Elmira College (18 per year out of 42) in New York I am going to be majoring in English and business. I am the first out of my intermediate family to go to college. I am seeking scholarships, loans, grants because my parents barely make $15,000 a year after business expenses. I have tapped out all federal loans. i've applied for FAFSA and got a little bit there. I got the max for each one. I still need about 5000 for the first term. I have been denied every loan I've applied for, my parents wont help because they dont like me going out of the state, and they cant afford it. They have no credit so they are no help there. So what I am asking is can any one help me? I am desperate. I am not asking anyone for money just a few links to some good sites that would help me out. Please. I really need help.

There is a program called EOPS that pays for your books and you dont have to pay that money back if you qualify, i duno if all states have that program, u should look into it, here they start handing out applications July 16.

Doesn't that mean, you have to be born after 1907? [if you meant 1907 that is!]

that is so weird. umh. you are 18, right? if not, maybe that is why it's showing up. But if you are 18, perhaps it's a system error Hm. If i find anymore legit sites, I'll post them on this topic.

There are also tons of commercials on tv (astrive comes to mind) where you can get loans which you pay back after you graduate.
