I am planning on entering some scholarship contests with essays and such... But I was wondering if anyone knows about any Californian scholarship applications I can fill out? Ones that give you money based on grades, ethnicity, sports, community service, ect. Please help! I want to apply for as many as possible and so far I only know about FASFA.

Writing a short essay is rather simple if you think about it. Think about this way. You spend 12 hours writing an AWESOME essay, one well worth reading and everything. That's 12 hours. Say the scholarship was for $1500. That means you just worked for $125 an hour. I think writing an essay would be well worth the effort. And not to mention that people are always looking for the easier way, which means there are more people applying for it, abd decreasing your chances of getting it.
