I'm 21 and transferring from a community college to a university. I want to join the school's equestrian club and choir. My parents refuse to let me pay money to stay in these extra curricular activities, or any extra curricular activities for that matter. They will not let *me*, or them, pay to join.

Ha, why would they care what you do with money as long as you have enough to get through college?

I didn't ask their permission. I just brought up the fact that I was planning on joining those. Than they asked me if it costs extra to be involved. Of course it does! Than they said I won't be joining anything that costs more money, no matter who pays for it.
