I'm really not trying to be mean about this but, in proper English, that would have read:(assuming your heading was part of the first sentence. On all my essays I did well on. (or, better still: On all my essays on which I did well.) What are some ways to make them college level not high school level? -------------------- But to answer your question, read books. They are proof-read by professionals. Do not read the Internet where no-one can spell or use proper grammar.Get some examples of college level essays and re-write them just for the exercise. I hadn't had my 2nd coffee,lol. I am a big stickler for proper grammar but sometimes I get a bit over the top about it on the Net. Especially since, though I can spell well, I can't tuype wiorht a dan!   I was influenced by an really old English textbook I saw a couple of years ago from the 1940s. I couldn't believe it! Most of what I saw for the grade 8 level back then would be tough in University today! There was a history textbook from the same time too that was even harder!
