Here are a few simple tips before searching the internet.

When using Google, remember that you do not need to enter the "and" function. In any other search engine, do the following.

To include two words in one search such as:
INTERNET NETWORKING. Type it in as:
INTERNET AND NETWORKING
Ignore the caps

To include the entire set of words in order, simply insert quotes like so:
"Internet and Networking"

To search for images, you need to be very careful with what you write. Even some words that you do not intend on coming up with nudes, could easily come up as nudes. Just think hard of what could turn into nudes. Some search engines have the ability to filter images. This is highly recommended especially at school. Words such as "teens" should be used sparingly, because of the fact that anything could come up.

To find a definition for a word, you can easily use google for this.
Type in "Define:Computer". You will find yourself with a definition of computer. Amazing.

History
Remember that everything you look at is saved in history. Every single topic you look at in LiveWire is saved under your computer's history. You should be careful with what your household rules are when searching throughout the internet.

Safety
Remember to take a look at LiveWire's Internet Safety Tips. They are very important. Do not give out any personal information about yourself. This includes, but is not limited to, Credit card information. phone numbers, addresses, etc.

Networking
Networking can be very confusing. There are wireless networks, wired networks, etc.

The first thing is routers. Wired routers are pretty simple. You just need to connect the wires to the appropriate places. Wireless routers can be a bit more complicated. Window's recommends "linksys" as their router.

There are also print servers. They need to be connected by wireless routers and wireless printers.

Lastly, there are networking cards. This allows internet anywhere. Verizon and AT&T offer this service. It is about 50 dollars (US) a month to use this service.

:) Go out and have fun now.

Maybe this will stop some of those topics where a simple search would get the person the answer in less time than somebody replying to it.

Do you honestly think anybody who is new in searching would know about the "and" function?
