Sorry, but this forum bores me. It needs to be more active. Can we make it more active!!! ?

I took this out of fresh topics to see how many support leaders look at this forum.

How many of you do anything about the novice system?
Just wondering...

Thanks for answering the random questions.

I look at it every day. It's only slow because it's not spammed.

I don't do much with my novices, unless they ask questions.

Not everyone looks  here.

I regularly message my novices, usually by mass message, and I ALWAYS check it when I get a new one.

This forum is pretty inactive though.

Also, I only replied so quick as I checked the unloved topics 56 seconds after you made this.

Nothing much to do with novices, I get the occasional Hello, etc.. and "added you to friends".

I realised about 10 minutes ago i hadn't checked my "1 Novice" thing, i replied in a welcome topic and it was actually that "1 novice's" topic.

I fill out the novice welcome message with a little bit of "Hello I'm Adam I'm your support leader" etc.

I occasionally get a friend invite from one of mine, i always like to accept.

And i look at this forum a few times every day, it's quite active i feel.

I actually found this topic through stalking you.  I just clicked on the last topic you made, and BAM.  Creepy?

I do nothing with my novices.  I check them to see if they look like they are going to be a threat.

I try to read the topics in this forum once a day, but normally there just aren't many active discussions. We only get a new topic maybe once a day, or even once every couple of days, so there isn't a lot to talk about.

I don't do anything with my novices, I'm not quite sure what I'm supposed to do. I ran a contest once, but it wasn't very active. My novices are kinda boring (sorry guys).

I obsessively check all the LW stuff forums (feedback, M2M, SL discussion, mod forum now as well) and so I see practically every reply that comes through.

Novices? I scan through the list every so often to see if any are online, and if they are, I generally message them to say hello and just check everything's all right. Apart from that, I just answer the questions they send and flick through the list to make sure they don't look like spammers.

As I just became an SL today, I have no novices. So, uh, nothing.

Is there supposed to be a certain message we send out for every novice? Is there a template (almost) to work from?

shows you what is sent, and you can have a custom bit.

OK, thanks!

There's a lot to digest in the Support Leader Guide, I think I'll leave it a bit before I type up my welcome message.

What do you say in these Mass Messages that you send to your Novices?  I don't generally interact with My novices unless they message Me asking for help with something first and I don't think I've ever sent a Mass Message to any one group of people.

I just ask how they are, if they have any problems. Stuff like that.
