I've used Gentoo Linux in the past, but it wasn't too good. I'm assuming the newer builds now are better and more stable. It would be better off putting them in sections (http://www.distrowatch.com). eg. RedHat Based Debian Based Slackware Based Source Code Based LFS Based.
