Arrgh so I get my MAc after waiting 12 days for it and now I have had it for like 14 days and it restarts randomly, applications unexpectadly quit left and right. it gives a high beep when it does turn on and doesn't always turn on

i mean seriously peoples has anyone had this problem?

what gives what is wrong

Have you added new RAM or any other 3rd party hardware. It's common for things like that to cause problems if they haven't been inserted correctly. Try re-seating your RAM.

You need to switch back to Tiger. Leopard sucks, I had to switch back because of too many bugs.

My leopard's been running like a champ, much better than when I had Tiger. But everyone's experience may vary.

If you've not added hardware, try re-installing OS X from the disks you got with the iMac. It sounds like you're iMac just may have been a faulty production unit. Either take it into the nearest Apple store, or phone up Apple and explain your problem to them.

Well I have a iBook g4, so it may be too outdated.

I must say my Aluminum iMAc runs leopard a lot better than my little PowerBook
