Even just looking at the first page, there are a few with three replies, a couple with four, and one with five! It seems like, lately, people have been more keen on giving more replies to the eHelps. Do you agree? Do you find yourself giving the third reply to eHelps lately? What do you think the cause may be?

Yes.

I mean, like i keep saying, when i can reply, when LW is working, my reply is either the second or third.

I'll look at what the replies say. If I think I can add something to it then I will put that down, but if I don't, however many replies it has then I'm not just going to repeat what someone else said.

...

Do you feel like that causes you to reply less when there are more replies? Or to never make the second or third reply to an eHelp?

i have to admit that i don't read many ehelps that already have 2 replies. however, a few times i have been the third reply because i think about it for a while after i read it and then i answer it, giving time for the second reply.

Oh, so do you only read the New eHelps, and not the older ones?

-- Posted by hithere at 4:12 pm on Jan. 18, 2008

basically. occasionally i've felt compelled to look for some "non-new" ones to see if i might want to answer one, and occasionally i just want to read some replies on a certain issue, but other than that i only read new ones.

so yeah, i don't really have a feel of how many replies they're getting.

I haven't answered many eHelps at all this week... life got a bit hectic. o.0 In fact I haven't been on LW much this week... so it was nice to come back and see the number of replies eHelps have recieved. xD

There aren't many eHelps (if any...) that I can reply to at the moment. They are either on subjects I can't help with, or what I would say has already been said.

I honestly haven't replied to one in ages =[ Well, I replied to 2 the other day. The number seems to be staying fairly low. though I rarely switch from the show new view.

I replied to two in the last 20 minutes. yay

They seem to be getting alot of replies now. We're down to less than half a page. :)

I always look at the eHelp, but whether or not I post, depends on the quality of the other's posts and if there is any.

If there isn't, then I will almost always reply.

If there is already 2 or 3 awesome replies, there is not as much need, unless I feel I can help in a different way.

I rarely reply to something that already has 2 replies, and I dont think I have ever replied to something that has 3.

I just run out of things to say that havent already been said.
