So almost a year of college I realized this: Fuck being a journalism major. I'm going to get my BA in English then transfer over to a graduate school in either Cali or New York. I want to get my masters in Screenwriting & Playwriting since, writing plays & directing them is the only thing I excel well at. I wish I didn't waste a whole year though on BS.

you can never waste a year doing anything; you've learned something quite valuable - you don't want to be a journalist. if you want to get into screenwriting & playwriting my recommendation is to transfer immediately to a school in either LA or NY (tisch @ nyu i think is one of the best) don't bother waiting till grad school there's no point.

What is my life going to be? Four years of college and plenty of knowledge, Have earned me this useless degree. I don't know, be an English teacher?

Take Lard's advice, I'd go straight to a school in LA or NY. Do some student film projects and network, in that industry it's better to start as soon as you're sure thats what you want to do (rather than waiting till grad school).

I don't think you have wasted a year of your life, it could be helpful in the future.

I wouldn't be able to pay the tuition though. I pay (actually my parents) pay about $500 a semester, the rest is bright futures (a florida thing),scholarships & financial aid. If

If I went to LA or NY now, I would be have to take out loans and stuff. And I can definitely wait and see how English goes. OR I could go to Palm Beach Atlantic Unviersity which offers a major in Screenwriting/Playwriting but its a Christian University.

If you no longer have a desire for communication, GET OUT NOW. The market is too-tight for wishy-washy.
