Well, I am quite shocked and appalled. I went into a topic and added the second vote to delete a reply that said "Get a gun." And was disgusted when the message said that another SL had actually voted to KEEP THE REPLY.

A post saying "Get a gun" IS NOT WELCOME ON LIVEWIRE. WHAT THE FUCK WERE YOU THINKING WHOEVER YOU ARE WHO VOTED TO KEEP IT?

I voted to keep it. and then reported the topic. Posts like that are not ours to delete. they should be reported, because it is a warnable/bannable offense.

I voted to dump it aswell. I thought I clicked "Keep it" by accident.
Apparently not.

Can mods not still see it after it's hidden?

they have to be looking for it.

A report allows them to do it, instead of us just hiding it.

This way, they are definately notified of what is occuring.

see prince's post for what mods think about it.

Posts that break the rules in such a way that the member needs to be informally or formally warned (such as threatening harm, suggesting harm to self or others, soliciting sexually explicit material, displaying sexually predatory tendencies, etc.) need to be reported before they are deleted.  If you've reported it, then you are welcome to delete.  Carie was obviously just trying to make sure we saw it before it was deleted.

Oh ok. I've deleted a few replies like that without reporting them first. I'll keep that in mind from now on.
