LiveWire Yahoo! Widget
I have created a widget for Yahoo Widgets. Yahoo Widgets is a free program you can download from Yahoo which will allow you to use various different widgets, including this one, on Windows and Mac OSx.

Screenshots:

How it Works:
Once downloaded and installed, you must first right click the widget and go to Widget Preferences. You must fill out the fields LW Username and LW Email. This will allow the widget to grab live information from LiveWire such as if you have any new messages, the fresh topics, your mood, etc. In addition to all of this visual content, you can click many different portions of the widget to open the corrosponding page. For example, if you click "X New Messages", your inbox will show. When you click on a fresh topic, that topic will show. And when you click on your mood, the change mood page will show.

Installing the Widget
1) You must first install Yahoo! Widgets. You can do that by going here http://widgets.yahoo.com/download/" target="_top">http://http://widgets.yahoo.com/download/.
2) After that is installed, go here: http://www.projectodious.com/ethryx/livewire/LiveWireWidget.widget" target="_top">http://http://www.projectodious.com/ethryx/livewire/LiveWireWidget.widget. Once downloaded, run it.
3) When you first run it, it is going to ask you if you want to move the widget to your My Widgets folder. It is highly recommended that you do so, so press 'Yes'.
4) After reading the description of the widget, click 'Use Widget'. It should now be running!

Setting it Up
Very simply, right click the widget and go to Widget Preferences. Fill in your Livewire username and email address. You can also change any other settings if you wish. Once done, press Save. Changes take effect immediately. You will notice that with your mouse over the widget, on the bottom left a "down arrow" will appear. Use this to view the latest "fresh topics" and also view your Mood.

Bugs/Suggestions/Comments
If you experience any bugs or have any suggestions/comments, please reply and let me know! I will gladly do updates to this if anything does come up or someone suggests an interesting feature.

Thats all! Enjoy, I put a lot of time into this =)

Cool. I wouldn't install a program just for the sake of having widgets, but if I had a Mac OS X interface, I'd download the widget.

How is a 4 day old topic in the fresh topics?... sneaky.

Nice idea, though!

I'm already on LW so much that to have such a Widget would be useless.

But good job!

I don't like Yahoo Widgets
I figured it was best to do it on Yahoo Widgets for those who don't have vista. My next project will be creating something similar to this on the Windows Vista Sidebar. That should be coming soon.
