Alex's Challenge, 08! Eric gave me an idea, and I thought I should share it with you guys. =) I turned off my fresh topics. I am going to go through the forums helping people out. Too much of the fresh topics is DTRM, and Alex can't support in DTRM. I am going to attack Teen/ College Emotional Depression and the Eating Disorder forums first. My Challenge To You! I want you to do the same as me, take that Fresh Topic list off, and lets hit the forums! Edit: Yeah, The new topics who need help may not get to as fast, but those nice members who have their fresh topics up will be glad to help them.

I saw this and it is a great idea. I just like to organize the forums and fresh topics so doing this might hinder that. I'll probably try it soon though!

Alternatively, you may want to switch your Fresh Topics to only show Tech or College topics (whichever one you are more inclined at responding to). This way, no topics from the main boards are clogging up from your side bar and distracting you, but people needing Tech or College help still will not have to wait for you to eventually go over there, sometime next month. I have turned off my Fresh Topics on several occasions and have found it to be very beneficial.

A terrific idea, although as a moderator it's not really feasible for me. Need to check new topics etc.

I get this, but there are probably 5-10 other moderators online with all fresh topics enabled, as well as 100 members, who can submit misconduct reports. I was a moderator for years before fresh topics were invented and survived just fine.
