Does FAFSA award you money for the fall sem. and you apply again for the spring? Or award you money for the fall and spring, and you just hope its enough?

FAFSA gives you money for the entire school year. Let me rephrase that...it's applied for yearly and you are given a certain amount

Yep. You fill it out AS SOON as your parents send in their taxes, so that you can grab some of those scholarships and grants out there (there are only so many which is why you need to do it asap). Then you find out, I think sometime in May and your school will automatically put them on the bill (so you don't have to worry about it). It's good for the next school year, but if you plan on attending school the next year, always fill it out as soon as you can in January/February.
