i think the term popular is really funny because its just so stupid. Its like "oh im so cool so call me popular" what the fuck... no. Just have your friends and thats it. Its easy.

haha i laugh so hard at that word

You can still feel depressed even if you are surrounded by friends... especially if you're not actually close to any of them.

depends what kind of popularity, if you mean having lots of close real friends its awesome

but if its just being in the popular group thing its just stupid

I'd rather be the person that everybody talks to than, say, the pathetic loner sitting in the corner and listening to their own thoughts all day.

Humans are social beings.

People recognize you and you have shit loads of friends.

-- Posted by Zdrav at 1:05 pm on Feb. 28, 2008

What's so great about being recognized? Does it make you feel like you matter?

-- Posted by fuckyeahitslisa at 1:17 pm on Feb. 28, 2008

having friends is nice

IDK, there's a difference between having a lot of freinds and being "popular" as in part of the "in-crowd" IMO having a lot of friends is great but being in the cool crowd doesn't really matter (at least it shouldn't once you're in college)

hmm being popular is an added pressure for me. Though I sometimes wished that I'm somehow recognized even by people I don't know. I guess I'll just go for popularity when I already have a career. That will be years from now.
