Find something productive or at the very least not harmful that you can do away from your parents. Anyway you sound like one who doesn't want something else defining them, and gangs would definitely do that. Be responsible, show your parents you can be your own person without getting into trouble. If you get into trouble, they are just going to try to control you and you are going to rebel more and it will be a vicious circle
