I'm really concerned about it. I have a decent social circle, but all of them got really great times to sign up for what is considered the "best" sophomore dorm on campus. It really sucks because they keep saying, "Oh yeah, we'll check you in all the time to our dorm! No problem man it'll be just like freshman year!" But I know that's bullshit. Not being able to live in the same place makes you totally "behind" on all the stuff going on and it' basically impossible to keep a friendship going. So I'm going to get into a shittier dorm. As in, it's not considered as "social" of a dorm. Any advice for next year? I have a roommate who is my friend and all, but I think trying to make a whole new circle of friends when everyone already has their friends might be really ough.

Make new friends at the new dorm... just be yourself, you'll get noticed, and included somehow...

At least you don't live alone on an off-campus apartment like... me!! *cry*

I don't live with my friends. It's better that way, I find. You don't see them all the time (especially when you don't want to see anyone, which is nice) so the time you do share with them means that much more.
