Anti-Virus doesn't sucessfully remove the virus, after rebooting the system, it appears again. As far as im aware Hijack this doesn't remove viruses.

Well if you want to remove a virus, scan your computer with your virus scanner if you have one and then it should have a remove button or something.. Or it should go into quarantine.. and then remove it, by letting the anti virus delete the virus, if it does not do this i could suggest downloading another scanner to see if it can delete that virus. Also you could do an online scan just to check your computer for anything else that could be on your computer as this may pick up something your computer hasn't picked up. link: http://onecare.live.com/site/en-gb/default.htm?s_cid=sah The link is of an online scanner from Microsoft it is free to use and scans your computer, remember you must stay online while scanner as it is an online scanner. I would recommend pressing the Full Service Scan as this scan the n searches for: Viruses, Spyware, It also cleans your system of unwanted temporary files which could be slowing down your computer. I would also suggest that you click full system scan as this scans all your computer files. Once it has scanned it will then show a report and if it has found things make sure they are selected for delete then continue and it will sort out the viruses and other things. I could also suggest downloading Avast Anti Virus Free Edition here: http://avast.com/eng/download-avast-home.html Once installed it will do a boot scan which scans your computer while it is not properly booted up, this means if there are viruses that are working while your computer is on it can get them and remove them. once it has done the scan i would recommend removing it as it will stop your other anti virus from working properly. you could also try: http://avast.com/eng/down_cleaner.html which will scan and clean your computer of viruses.

I agree with the above poster, installing Avast Anti-Virus is definitely a good idea. It will remove the virus you have on there now, as well as prevent future viruses from causing any damage. And it's free, and easy to use. I've been using it for years, and I've never had any problems with it.
