The two are both grounded in logic. They're interchangable, arguably. Just subsections of a larger group.

I would say this differently...
The natural physics of the universe can never not-exist [as is indicated in "without physics", we can merely lack a perceptual, or conceptual understanding of it.

Also, I would argue that without physics we would have strong religious values to account for the "unknowns" that the study of physics describes
