In brief this is a project to build a game. This game is going to be a derivative from ARC (Attack Retrieve Capture). In this game the player will pilot a player-buildable saucer with futuristic weaponry. This will be intended as a multiplayer game. A lot like paintball where you either play elimination, capture the flag, FFA, etc... Basically with a shooter with a 3D gfx engine played on a 2D plane. The language of choice is C++ with the use of OpenGL (I'm not at all keen on changing this). Undertaking this project by myself is quite silly so I'm trying to get a team of people together to make this happen. Here's the skills I'm looking for: - C++ Programmers proficient with OpenGL - C++ Programmers proficient with networking - Physicists/Mathematicians to work on collisions and kinematics - 3D animators and graphics designers Now the first 3 are the ones that are needed most, no need for people to draw pictures. I'm actually looking for someone who can create and animate 3D objects/characters (animation is not the real emphasis); I emphasise that this is not for conceptual art but rather create something from a concept. One more thing on the graphics part, no need for 12 people doing this, all I'm looking for is 1 or maybe 2 people. However feel free to volunteer anyway... Definitely need someone who knows a fair deal about implementing network games with C++. Some experienced OpenGL programmers would be nice. For any member it would be highly beneficial to know C++, or at least have understanding of the syntax. One aim of this is to make something educational from computer science point of view. Please I'm looking for commitment to the project here not just something you would like to do for a week and then quit because you got bored.

Though I'm not really for computer games, I might be interested in this project. I don't know how much of a help I would be though. I do have some skills: A. Understanding of 3D Computer Graphics in a programming setting. I do know some open GL as well. B. C/C++ C. Physics + Math D. BS in CS with minor in Mathematics You can contact me with details through this messenger. And we can set up a more reliable line of communiation.
