Well i put my ipod on the charger and it will constantly sit there all day and never charge fully but sometimes it will. When i go to turn it on i can go to song and leave it there on shuffle and let it play there and it will be fine sometimes for a couple hours, other times it will shut off after 5 songs and tell me i have a low battery. When i go to switch to songs it will shut off constantly saying low battery and i could have left it on the charger for 24 hrs straight. I don't know what the deal is, its an ipod mini 4gb.
