Do you think most of the relationship-related ehelps dont' belong there 99% of the time? I mean, I vote to delete the ones I think don't belong, so I'm not bitching without a cause, but there's been a bunch lately and I'm just like..err..don't see how this is an emergency.

We don't have the right to delete if we believe they do not "belong." The problem may be an emergency to them, so we do not delete them. Some may not actually be an emergency, but we will respect it and reply. =)

so..why have I gotten e helps back saying they'dbe more suited for the forums? that doesn't make much sense to me, unless I missed something.

Well we can't answer that without knowing *exactly* what the eHelp said.

I almost never vote to delete, unless it's an absolutely absurd eHelp. Most often, though, I just don't understand the full scope of the problem, so I either ignore, or reply best I can and suggest that next time they try the regular forums.

I rarely vote to delete, but I even more rarely answer relationship eHelps. I just don't have the nous to know how to answer them effectively. And I'm sure we've all be in a situation where the relationship is all we can think about.

why don't you think it's an emergency? what specifically about it is different than how you define an emergency?

"should i go out with jack, steven oreric?" "should we go to the movies or the park?"That just doesn't seem like an emergency to me. Maybe I need to learn a new definition of emergency or something.

oh, yeah. i think that those are pretty bad uses of ehelp too. but occasionally with that first example they will expand to the point where it really does seem urgent, or they reveal their own problems with how their brain processes those things and it becomes a completely different (deserving) issue to discuss. sometimes if enough material is provided you can find a way to make it worthwhile for everybody that they chose ehelp.
