Hey,
I'm doing some repair work on my roommate's laptop.  Right now, the main problem is there is a problem with her windows explorer.  Whenever she goes into her "My Pictures" folder, it crashes, and comes up with an error message referencing to a cyclic error.  Does anyone know what this is, and/or how to fix it?  I'm usually pretty good with computers, but I've never run into this, so I'm not quite sure how to repair this problem.

is it the "data error cyclic redundancy check". this is usualy a result of windows stuffing up while formatting or outlook stuffing up if so do the following. if not wat does the error acctualy say. ill give u the computer-moron version just incase lol. run command prompt by pressing windows key + r . type cmd and click ok. next type (without the speechmarks.. speechmarks are we in primary school.. quotation marks) "chkdsk /f" then press enter that will check the disc. if u get an error message saying it cant run type y and press enter. then restart. if no errors, cool. if that fix the problem cool. if not PM me
