Ok well I just registered for courses for the fall 2008 semester. I will be taking the following 3 classes: Principles of Accounting II Accounting Information Systems Microeconomics I AM an accounting major as u can see lol. Well, I was just wondering, how hard are these classes (If you've taken them)??? If you haven't taken all of them then you can just describe the ones that you took. I really just want to know what to expect so I won't feel overwhelmed when the semester starts. and this is COLLEGE obviously, so no high school. Thanx!

I am not a business major, but taking 3 classes in your major seems rough. Are those the only classes you are taking? are you planning on working or anything else? do you know anyone at your school you can talk to?

Talk to about what??? I'm going for an associates degree. Microeconomics isn't a requirement for the degree, but I have to take a history/economics class so I chose microeconomics. I figured an accounting major should take at least 1 economics class.

Accounting II is about cost accounting, sometimes called management accounting. It's a bit different than financial accounting in that you learn the flow of manufacturing like job costing, standard costs, raw materials, finished goods and so on. The accounting is mainly for each step of the way from raw materials inventory to finished goods to the sale. Accounting information systems I believe is about using computers for accounting flow from input to output. Microeconomics has its own vocabulary but centers on the insides of the market as opposed to the market in general (Macroeconomics) Hope this helps.
